Bio
I’m a writer and academic specializing in US culture and politics. Areas of interest include poetry and poetics, modernism, African American literature, contemporary popular culture, new media, and literary theory and criticism. My essays and interviews (peer-reviewed and public) have appeared in boundary 2, b2o: an online journal, Politics/Letters, and elsewhere. I teach at SUNY Oneonta.
Research
My academic research considers and evaluates the ways US cultural, economic, and political traditions understand the nature and function of creative human activity. Recent projects put contemporary and modernist artists in conversation with neoliberal intellectuals.
